This is the story of Giselle Arceneaux, a French slayer of the late nineteenth century who heads for the Alaskan territories during the height of the gold rush in 1897. She's heard that there has been an influx of vampires in the area due to the increase in population and the fact that during the winter, the sun is only out for a couple of hours a day. (Archivist's note ... the names are different but they're our girls!)
