WILLOW'S POV

Willow watched, slowly smoothing the soft brown hair. It seemed to be the only thing she did nowadays - watching.

She knew her friends were worried, Buffy in particular. Xander, to Willow half amused and half disgusted, was still in the stage of deciding whether he should feel angry or aroused. After all, he was a blood-heated male.

But Willow didn't care. Not yet anyway.

If someone told Willow two months ago that she would be with her, she would have laughed her head off.

This woman, this... bitch, had taken Oz away from her. Used her ex-boyfriend and then spilled him out like a tasteless gum. She was the reason why Oz had left Willow to 'find himself'. Willow thought she was angry at her... hated her...

Until the day she slept with her. Willow could no longer lie to herself, or to anyone.

Was it love? Willow often mused, wondering if it was the new level 'love thee enemy'. But she was no longer Willow's enemy.

She was Willow's lover.

Willow did not know if she was in love with her, all she knew was she loved her. And to Willow, it was enough.

And she hoped it was enough for Veruca too.

VERUCA'S POV

"Not enough."

Veruca could taste the words on her lips.

"Not enough."

She could remember the night she had met the other werewolf, walking down the road with the slayer. She knew then, he was hers.

But she did not know she was hers too. Not until the day she met her. It took Veruca about one second to identify her as his 'groupie'.

And it took Veruca another second to decide to make her 'her groupie'.

It took a bit of time, and planning, but at the end she became hers.

But it was not enough.

As a werewolf for more then ten years, Veruca understood the importance of keeping the pack together, as she understood the importance of keeping her own position as an alpha. That was the reason why she had never even considered introducing Oz into her pack. No matter how young Oz the werewolf was, the aggressiveness inside a male werewolf would always be a threat to her. And she had worked too hard to let one werewolf to destroy her, just as she would never let one girl to destroy her.

Willow would be her mate, her beta...

Her werewolf witch.

And nothing less would be enough.
