Ooh - I really liked this chapter. I thought that deserted Sunnydale was much creepier than the mass exodus on the show. The people of Sunnydale are generally so clueless, you just know that something awful is coming if they finally clue in. I loved the scene between Buffy and Willow on the porch - I always hated that Willow and Xander didn't back Buffy on the series after everything that they had been through together. I know that it was necessary to separate her from the others in order for the story to work, but I always felt so bad for her and I wondered who was going to comfort her since Spike wasn't in the picture. I really love the way that Willow is missing Paris and Spike *and* that she's keeping his secret about the chip to herself.

Author's Response: I know, I really felt like they did a disservice to Buffy the way that Xander and Willow backed the others during when they threw her out of the house. That was pretty harsh. Willow's going to continue to keep Spike's secret, because if she didn't, things would get pretty sticky!

Also, why a three act tragedy. What are the tree divides and how can the ending of this part be considered a tragedy eventhough Buffy left.

Author's Response: LOL...well, the thing is, I'm trying to name each story in the series after a story or play written by Agatha Christie (she's my favorite mystery writer). And after 20 stories in the series, I'm running out of names! This was the only one I could find that was even close to applicable. I figured the three scenes as: Willow and Xander in the hospital; the big event at the house which culminates in Buffy leaving; and then the heart-to-heart between Buffy and Willow. And I felt like it was a tragedy for Buffy, being kicked out of her own home and having to face whatever was out there all by herself. The title for the next story in the series (Dead Man's Folly) makes much more sense, I promise!

Great part. In the show I don't remember anything about the hospital being deserted, maybe I forgot, but I thought that part was really interesting. More so than watching the exudos of people leaving town in the show, which I think was played more for laughs. It was also nice to have Buffy and Willow, not just come to an understanding, but to both be able to go through the similar circumstances. I liked that they were true friends, neither blamed the other just did their best to understand and look after each other. So are we going to see Spike in SunnyD anytime soon and what about Angel. Speaking of Angel, I like the idea of bringing Cordy back in the other story. I thought they were a more mature couple together.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! And nope, the hospital stuff was not canon. I've been reading transcripts and trying to make things as close to canon as I can, but I'm also adding stuff on my own. I liked the scene between Buffy and Willow...it kind of cleared the air between them, which was definitely needed. I also just felt so sorry for Buffy after being kicked out of her own home that I wanted to do *something* nice for her! And yes, we'll be seeing Spike soon enough. I know everyone's looking forward to that. We'll probably see Angel when he brings the amulet to Sunnydale, but he won't be an integral part of the story, just a passerby. As for bringing Cordy back on So Wild a Dream, I hate to burst your bubble, but she's not the one I'm going to pair Angel with. Sorry!
